Now this is an ingenious little project and although half a world away, still a fantastic global community effort. Bureau SLA and Overtreders W from the Netherlands designed this impressive little coffee bar through what ever means possible. The entire team was involved in getting the project off the ground and construction, though the process of creating the bar was in itself somewhat unusual. Finding money for the project through a website for crowd-funding, buying the second-hand materials, meant that designing and building took place simultaneously. It was impossible to make a final design beforehand, as most of the materials were bought second hand online!
Now we just wish a great designer in Sydney could design one of these in Centennial Park – The Bookmarc team would be happy to lend a hand.

This is really amazing creation. Aside from the decking that always amazes me, now I can hardly believe that there are really coffee shops that are these amazing and excellent. Two thumbs up to the artist who put their effort and expertise in realizing their wonderful ideas and creativity.
I know! How amazing would it be to walk passed it while it was closed and then come past again and see that it’s a coffee shop – wonders like these make life that extra bit special!
