January 5th 2009 - Austral Lock Pty Ltd was purchased by Gainsborough Hardware Industries Ltd, turning a small family business into part of a large organization under the umbrella of GWA International.

Austral Lock has 3 manufacturing and storage facilities in Melbourne covering over 30,000 sq ft, and a Development Centre in Blackburn.

All Austral Lock factories are dedicated, purpose built facilities. We have complete control over the processes and quality.

Excellence in design and a rigorous approach to quality have given Austral locks a reputation for reliability in the field second to none.
