Natural light, fresh air and a sense of space are all features that make modern buildings comfortable to live and work in. Breezway products are designed to bring these important attributes to your building.
History
Breezway has existed under various names and owners since before the Second World War. We began manufacturing Louvre Windows around 1947 and by the mid-1960s our louvres were being exported to over 65 countries (of course, this was before the rise of the internet and cheap international travel, so all negotiations were conducted by mail). Over the years the company has manufactured a number of other products including munitions (during the Second World War) and fluorescent lights, but louvre windows have always been a key part of the business. A management buyout resulted in the formation of Breezway as it is known today
Breezway Today
Today, Breezway is at the forefront of louvre window technology and design with a constant stream of product improvements flowing from our Brisbane-based R&D Centre. The R&D team facilities include advanced 3D modelling CAD software, on-site tooling and manufacturing facilities and an on-site NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) approved window testing laboratory that allows new products to be tested and refined before being launched into the market. As a result, the team has developed many louvre window innovations which now hold international patents, including the award-winning Powerlouvre&tm; Window.
To ensure great customer service, Breezway maintains a direct presence in Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Townsville, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Hawaii and Malaysia. Some of these local offices hold stock and have some manufacturing capabilities.
Brisbane remains the primary manufacturing centre with custom-made orders manufactured on a 5 day lead time. The Brisbane manufacturing facility houses a customised glass louvre blade toughening plant that produces louvre blades that are flat to within 0.35mm per metre and a Powder Coating line certified by both Dulux and Akzo Nobel to apply warranty powder coats.
